Your body’s touch I despise
When I let my guard down
You used the moment of surprise
Subtle confusion be my crown

Oh the nights I spent apart
From confusing reality
Defining pain as art
Did I deserve penalty?

How can this mean anything to me
When I don’t feel anything at all?
If I look I’m certain to see
Inside me it will crawl

Never succumb to nightmares
Hope lost, trust may I find
In what surrounds me
A simple peace of mind

In dark I’ll shout
In light I’ll pray
I’ll never doubt
I’ll find a way

Questions fade with time
Thoughts clouded into infinity
Little by little strengthens a chime
From forgotten purity

It’s there, just believe
